FAQ

What if poor weather is forecast for the shoot?

Don't panic! I will be checking the forecast frequently and a couple of days before our shoot, I will send you a text to confirm our arrangements. If, for some reason, it's forecast to rain bucket loads, ALL day, then we can rearrange for the next available date at no extra cost. If it is showery, then I recommend coming out and risking it – we can always dive for cover for an hour if need be, and dramatic clouds or sunshine through raindrops can make for some of the most stunning photos of all.

What if my horse is an absolute nightmare and won't stand still?

Again, don't panic! I've been around horses since I was five years old so have a pretty good idea of how they're feeling. It may feel like your horse is being a complete pain, but the reality is I need just one second to get the shot. Every shoot is tailored to you and your horse, so there is no stress and we can take as much time as we need. Many horses settle, while others need bribery or a quick shoot. As long as you are safe and in control of your horse, a little cheekiness is never a problem.

How soon after my shoot am I able to see my images?

I know how excited you will be about seeing your images, so I will always endeavour to send you at least five low res preview images within two weeks (depending on how my schedule is!). Then I will aim to post out your full set of images on disk within a month of our shoot (again, schedule depending). If there's a special reason or specific date needed (a birthday for example), then please let me know in advance so I can factor this into my schedule.

My friend is also interested in a shoot with their horse – can they join mine?

Yes absolutely! Depending on timings, I can photograph quite a few people on the same day if you have friends interested. Plus, the price of your shoot will reduce the more of you there are. Please get in touch to discuss how many people / horses and the new discounted cost to you.

Do I have to order prints through you?

No however I do have an online system with high quality printing and framing so you can print your favourite images in a few easy clicks! I'll always happily help if you need some advice too!

Can I share the images on social media?

Yes, yes and yes again! I would LOVE you to share your images on social media - they are yours and I want you to feel proud of them. A tag in the post with my official handles @whitecatphotography will always be welcome!

I've never had a photoshoot before; is it normal to feel apprehensive?

100% yes - that would be totally normal! I HATE being in front of the camera myself believe it or not, so I totally understand how daunting it can be. My goal is to make you feel as relxaed and as comforatble as possible. Once I arrive I will meet you and we'll go for a little walk around your location to spec out great backdrops. As we walk I'll get to know you and your horse a little more and will ask lots of questions – mainly as I'd love to know about you both, but also to understand your relationship better to create the best photos. For the actual shoot, I will pose you and the focus will be your superstar horse or dog which takes the pressure off! Also, it's worth pointing out I will mostly be rolling around on the ground and up to all sorts to get the best angles, so laugher and smiles are not usually a problem! ;-)
